Facial and Desserts

Last Saturday I went for my first facial with Audrey. It wasn't a full blown facial as they didn't even have any extraction or anything but merely a facial massage and treatment. We actually won a voucher from treasure hunt and decided to go together :)

Before we started we got asked a series of questions:-

Do you take any contraceptive pills? - No
Are you on a diet? - No
Do you exercise regularly? - No
Do you get enough sleep every night? - No
Do you have a stressful lifestyle? - Yes

Terrible! >_<

The facial treatment was pretty good and the products they used had a very nice fruity smell hehe After the facial they served us tea and bananas.

After that Audrey and I headed to Marmalade at Bangsar Village for some desserts. We had Apple Crumble and chococlate cupcakes :D

Once we were done with desserts and while we were on our way back, we had a minor digression after seeing this lovely pair of heels on display. Couldn't resist the temptation to try it on and in the end I ended up buying myself a new pair of heals :) It was just too nice! hehe

Right on Track :)

Finally settled the wedding rings! Ended up choosing the design from Selberan. After work Azmir and I dropped by the store to confirm the purchase and paid the deposit. It will take about 2 weeks for the rings to be done. Mine in white gold and Azmir's in platinum.

After that we went for dinner and had gelato at Gelatissimo. We had chocolate caramel and forest berries :) Ice-cream on a Monday night, a good way to counter the Monday blues :P

Another thing I managed to settle last weekend was the set list for the string quartet. So far the repertoire consist of songs from Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Bach, Debussy, Chopin, Mozart, Strauss and Rachmaninov. Some of them are actually piano pieces so I'm waiting for confirmation on whether they will be able to play it. I sure hope they can :)

The other major thing left is to go to Hilton and choose the Pelamin, cake and the floral arrangement.

So far I'm right on track ;)

Hokkaido Ichiban

Today was another day of running wedding errands. Accompanied Jonie to the tailor to make her maid of honour kebaya and then went to Gardens to settle Azmir's final hantaran item and decide on the wedding rings that we wanted to get.

It's so hard to decide on the ring! We have been going back and forth between Love & Co and Selberan trying to decide on which one. Both are equally nice and competitively priced. We decided to wait till early next week before deciding.

Before we did all that, we also went to try out this new restaurant called Hokkaido Ichiban. It had a wide selection of desserts and the food was good :)

Autumn Roll and Agedashi Tofu

Matcha Crepe
Hokkaido Melon ice cream - very very good

The Clock Is Ticking...

Its already October and I have a feeling this month is going to fly!

So what have I been doing? Running around making sure I settle all of my wedding stuff asap! I finally settled my 6 weeks leave with HR and have the official approval in the online system :)

Already collected Azmir's tuxedo from Spark Manshop and went for a first fitting of my bridal gown for the reception. It took 3 months to tailor! Now they just have to adjust the length and the shrug so I have an appointment for the final fitting tomorrow morning.

My shoes that I customised from Thomas Chan is done and today went to Ariani to tailor my tudung for the solemnisation ceremony.

Have started assigning roles to people...Jonie for my pengapit, Sheryl and Farizal performing, Audrey video recording the performance, my brother in charge of IT technical matters and my brother in law as the wedding manager.

Things left to do:-

1) Finalise guest list and sending out wedding invitation cards
2) Finalise song set list for the string quartet
3) Pick up my baju nikah once its ready
4) Settle the Pelamin design and flower arrangement for the hotel reception
5) Choose wedding bands
6) Settle hantaran items and go for an appointment with the hantaran designer lady next week

Finally Settled My Forms!

On Thursday I went to Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah (PAID) to settle all mt marriage forms. Azmir was nice enough to find the forms for me sometime back but even then I have been procrastinating :P

Then it hit me. It is less than 2 months before I get married so I better get this done soon! So when I was reading through the forms I realised that I need to bring not only myself but my dad (wali) and 2 other witnesses to PAID to get the marriage approval. So we decided on one of my uncles on my dad's side and my brother. Felt bad that these people would have to take leave just to help be my witness. Luckily my uncle is retired so not so bad. As for my brother, he said he will be very busy from next week onwards so it has to be this week!

So that is how we decided on Thursday. I didn't take leave but just asked permission from the partner for me to step out of the office for a few hours after lunch. She said go ahead so I was good to go.

Once there, the process was not as complicated as I had imagined. After confirming that all the documents are in order, I had to see the Pendaftar Nikah for the approval. Read out this declaration saying that the information in the forms are true and that if not, it would be a breach of the Selangor Enactment. After I read it out the Pendaftar Nikah would check that everyone in the room heard it, i.e. my dad and witnesses and then I signed the forms, followed by my dad and my two witnesses.

After that it was APPROVED! :)

Later that night I went for dinner with Azmir at Sushi Tei. I had the usual Chicken Katsu Don and a house specialty called Sunshine Roll. I must say, I was surprised that the rice is not as nice as the ones at Sushi Zanmai or Sushi Zen as they are from the same group.

I also ordered desserts of course hehe I can’t remember the name though. It looks really nice but unfortunately the taste wasn’t. The ice cream was flakey and the shiratama was hard. But I still like the presentation though :P
